in memory of John
When I recently reconnected with an old friend, I discovered in the decade since I had seen her we had both married guys named “Ben”, but also shared a common bond of having lost a baby. Jessica has two beautiful girls, but has also had three miscarriages. The first “miscarriage” (if you can call it that) was at 16 weeks, far enough that she delivered her little boy. Jessica writes, “It is amazing to me how perfect he came out and whole. Yet so small. We were able to have a “nice” funeral and buried him in SC where we lived at the time. To me, even though he was too small to hold, being able to see his body and God’s handiwork at the stage in pregnancy was a gift. Would love to share my story with anyone who thinks that abortion is an option, etc. Heaven will be amazing to meet our children one day, huh?”
Jessica also highly recommend the book “Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy’s Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back” by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent.
