Our Beloved Grace,
We call this birthday “Sweet 16” because it’s a milestone year of growing up in our earthly world. You don’t get to experience the thrill of getting your license and feeling the independence of approaching adulthood. But you, dear, have had 16 sweet years with Jesus, spared from the heartaches of this world and knowing nothing but His love, joy, and peace. We wonder who you would be as a teen, what our family would be like if you had stayed with us, and so many other things. But the one thing we know is that you are loved and that we have hope because we know that we will be reunited someday. Could there be anything sweeter?
